Site 6 - Combe Down Oolite/Twinhoe Beds

Take the path near the entrance to Site 5 that goes down the hill (GPS N 51o23.616' W 002o17.856') A long exposure of Combe Down Oolite showing clear cross bedding and, at a higher level, some of the Twinhoe Beds can be seen. Details of both rocks can be found at Site 11. Return to the path at the bottom of the steps from the Folly. |
